The Time & Attendance system was installed to replace the previously existing manual clock cards system in operation, which could not keep pace with the demands of the growing company. Installed in January 2003, Time & Attendance covers all of Axminster’s employees and is used on a daily basis to observe access control and monitor staff attendance. All departments within the company have access to Mitrefinch’s Time & Attendance, which has been linked to the Axminster Intranet site, where employees can view their own data.

The Time & Attendance system also allows Axminster to keep an accurate record of employees on site. The company runs daily anomaly reports to monitor attendance and confirm working hours have been recorded correctly.  Frequently run reports include payroll, overtime, absence and holiday entitlements, as well as customised reports specifically created for individual monitoring purposes.
